I have been a professional photographer since 2002, but I have concentrated my professional practice on architecture and interior design since 2008. My path into architectural work grew out of a passion for large format photography. Bob Thall’s pictures spearheaded my interest into the architectural landscape. His work led me to Barbara Crane, László Moholy-Nagy, Harry Callahan, and Aaron Siskind, but it was Richard Nickel’s work, particularly his images of Louis Sullivan buildings, that cemented my decision to specialize in architectural photography.
I am based in Oak Park with my wife, daughter, and 2 cats, Ron & The Princess of France.
